we're on 680 south just south of the dublin interchange.ou can see the 580 overpass back there in the background. echoing what mike was saying, we are still seeing some residual effects of the shutdown. the road shut down around 3:30 this morning because a man was hit an killed in the middle of the road. this happening just before the stoneridge drive exit. a woman in her car was heading southbound when she accidentally hit and killed him. she did pull over and is cooperating with chp. it does not appear this man who was hit had his car with him. it's quite possible he was out here on his own. in other words, it was not a roadside emergency that he had. but chp does not know why he was out here and that's going to be part of their investigation. the road was shut down for roughly three hours. they did have the left shoulder open for the last half hour to let traffic at least trickle on south. as you can see, all four lanes of southbound 680 are reopened. we are right now, though, seeing part of the residual effects of having that road shut
