the cost to ride the dulles toll road could soon skyrocket. the tolls are tied to funding for the metro silver line project out to dulles. the metropolitan washington airport's authority is talking about doubling the tax rates on the dulles toll road by next year and eventually tripling them. the current rate of $2.25 for a one-way trip from end-to-end could double by next year and that means that you would be paying $4.50 for a one-way trip. extend this out another six years to 2018 and you could be paying $6.75 for a trip which is triple the current rate. the reason why the airport's authority is considering this is because the funding for the second phase of metro to dulles could take a huge blow. virginia lawmakers continuing to pull the state's $150 million contribution because of labor agreements included in the construction agreement. if that money is lost, the airport's authority says that they would have to pass the cost on to drivers. barbara? >> all right. thank you. >>> if you have driven in the district during a snowstorm or power

the metropolitan washington airport authority is talking about doubling the rates on the dulles tolload by next year and eventually triple them. the current rate of $2.25 on a one way trip on the toll road could double by next your and that means you'd be paying 4.50 dollars for a one-way trip. extend that out to another six years to 2018 an you could be paying $6.75, which is trip tl current rate. the why they're considering the hike is because funding could take a huge bloechlt virginia lawmakers are threatening to pull the state's $150 million contribution because of labor agreements included in the construction agreement, if that money is lost, the airport's authorities say they would have to pass the cost on to driver. >>> well, if you're looking for cheap flights today, you may notice prices may seem a little bit higher. southwest raised fares. $10 for a round trip ticket. the other airlines are expected to quickly follow suit. this is a third attempt to add a fare hike. the previous two were initiated by delta. travel experts say despite the hike they don't expect a drastic ru
