this the dumbarton house. this house is. historically, they, the first u.s. treasurer lived there, joseph north. and so the history is only told from 1799 to 1814, and then they skip to 1928. so there's a missing. so we got some interested people and we did find that have some people that are buried here that were enslaved that house for more than 70 years. they just outside of that 14 year interpretation period. but we now have them we had some interested young people that work there and they went outside the interpretation period and found this information out for us. they're also extending their interpretation period to 1830. so now they'll be able to talk about gracie duckett and i will show who gracie is when we get to her monument. i do want to walk over really quick because one thing that's really interesting. every time it rains, we see more seashells. so seashells in the ground and we know that they are big symbols in black cemeteries. and the sea represented symbolized. the sea brought you here and it'll take you home and so we see seashells, but we
