we started with big problems on the dumbarton bridge. let me just go through the bridges right now. bridge because you might be wondering what it's like to get into san francisco. it's a pretty standard commute. dumbarton bridge westbound has been red, relatively unaffected, westbound, they're slow traffic eastbound though closed from menlo park to newark because of a gravel spill. and we suspect that gravel spill was the reason for a pretty serious crash earlier on. san mateo bridge is moderate, but most of these commutes, as you can see, kind of scrolling around. we've had some earlier problems that are making it very slow. san francisco is slow and no slow traffic really on 280 up and down the peninsula and the silicon valley commute is sold out. so definitely another slow day for everyone involved. 850 let's bring steve back in with today's weather. so i'm going to be that guy who didn't quite hear you. the dumbarton bridge might reopen. when have you said have you heard? they haven't said, but they have to get all that. they're waiting for caltrans sweepers to get that gravel o

and we're also following the situation on the dumbarton bridge. just got off the phone with chp. eastbound lanes remain closed because of early morning vehicle collisions. and the most serious involved a crash with a white suv and a silver pickup truck. an occupant of one of the vehicles was ejected onto the roadway. no word yet on that victim's condition. the chp tells us all vehicles have been cleared, but the cleanup crews might still get up there to remove the gravel, which may have caused that crash. this crash had shut down both directions of the bridge for a bit, but westbound lanes reopened at about 6 a.m. four people, including a teenager, are now in custody in connection to several robberies throughout oakland and berkeley. they were arrested hours after several holdups near the cal campus. berkeley police sergeant spotted the suspects in a stolen kia sorento and chased after them. the pursuit ended in east oakland, near high street and carrington, where the four people were arrested. the adults have been charged in the past, ranging from car theft to stealing thousands
