traffic slows leaving aquia harbor to dumfries with an incident on the shoulder. get to the maps. we've got standing water reported along k street near the whitehurst freeway. flooding continues to block beach drive between 410 and the d.c. line. there is also flooding to deal with in gaithersburg. westbound clopper road west of 270, only one lane gets through. flooding out in manassas long piper lane and nokesville road, if you come up to an area with standing water remember don't drown, turn around. be safe. that's a check of your fox 5 on-time traffic. >>> now to that developing story out of alabama where a hostage standoff continues this morning. 65-year-old jimmy lee dikes has been holding a five-year-old boy hostage since tuesday affect. this all began when he boarded the boy's school bus, killed the driver and then kidnapped the boy. dike and the boy are now locked up in an underground shelter. authorities say there is no reason to believe the boy is hurt. dike was scheduled to appear in court on charges he shot at nibs in a dispute over a speed bum. >>> >>
