holabird middle has been in dundalk 45 years on dell veil avenue. here's roosevelt leftwich with the scary story. >> reporter: a scary start and one that has many parents wondering how he got in the school in the first place. police police say the man came in in the morning around 8:30. the man came in with the students and when confronted by a school resource officer and staffer, allegedly lied about why he was there, giving what county police say was a valid reason. police say he was told to go to the office but the man went into the boy's bathroom across from the office. >> this guy whoever he is, had to be crazy. i mean, even try that across from the office! just don't make sense? this was a very isolated and unusual incident. and the security measures are very good here. this is a very unusual situation and the students were led into the building. at most times during the day the building is kept locked. there's a buzzer system that you have to be identified and let into the building. this gentleman apparently wanted to get into the building an

county police have arrested a man who tried to sexually assault a middle school student upside of a dundalklding yesterday. the parents tell us they're concerned about how the man got into the school building. >> reporter: the parents came up to the school to get the children early due to snow. they came out with a letter from the assistant principal about an assault on a student. suspect dragged the boy into a bathroom and tried to assault him. it's believed that the stranger slipped in early this morning with a crowd of school children. >> i have a sun that goes here, it concerns me a lot. >> reporter: luckily, he escaped unharmed. the staff member heard the child yelling and went to the bathroom and found him in the bathroom with the victim. >> aren't they checked. you know what i mean? they have a police officer in here constantly. >> today, early, the doors wither left open due to the cold. that way, the students could wait for the first class in the lobby, not outside. at least two people, a staff every and a school resource officer confronted the intruder. they said they would go to

is 21 years old and has an address in harford county but police believe he may have been living in dundalk where the attack occurred. shocking new details are refeeled about the man who sneaked into holabird middle school yesterday hiding in a bathroom and assaulting a male student. the suspect admits to police he wanted to have sex with a child. it had been months. he picked the victim because he was blonde and sma. when parents learned of the interloaner, they were -- interloper, they were stunned. >> my son is right there. what can i say. >> reporter: court documents seaen shoved the -- sean shoved the boy into the stall but the student screamed. >> the student screamed. immediately staff was nearby and hour resource officer. we were able to respond and confront the intruder. the student was able to get away and we made an arrest. >> reporter: a school official confronted him in the school. he gave a legitimate excuse for his presence. >> there are offices -- their office is all the way down at the end. you have to go through the doors and go all the weigh dunn the hall to get to the ma
