dwayne "the rock" johnson movie is stirring up conversation across the bay area about "the big one."is not the big one -- . >> well. >> this is beyond that. parts of san andreas set right here in san francisco. the movie depicts the utter devastation following a 9.6 earthquake along the famous faultline. those that have seen the movie already are weighing in on the debate. >> i do think some day we will have earthquakes and it will be shocking and scary, but i don't think it will be the way they have it in the movie. >> it is fun about seeing the cities and towns you love up on the big screen, then watching them get destroyed. >> the area underneath the golden gate bridge is about 300 feet deep so for that to be coming out perfectly formed, no way. >> true! experts say there are two things about this movie that are true. one, there is a san andreas fault. two, an earthquake will happen, but the magnitude and damage seen in the movie -- . >> everything else -- . >> yes. that is hollywood magic. san andreas in the theaters now. we used the go to san francisco many times. >> we had a ch

superintendent dwayne york says he was surprised by the student's volunteerismism. >> we found all ofng back to campus and trying to get lifts, all right this person needs this, this group of people needs this. i saw them with rake, chainsaws. >> we probably put $200 n i worked 10 hours a week -- 10 hours a day for the last week almost. >> ♪ >> reporter: so four years of hard work and strength to persevere after the storms have all led to this day. >> we just don't want this tragedy to be kind of the final identity of this class. what we do want, though, is, man, the compassion and what they showed and how they -- the resiliency of them coming back and helping the community. >> reporter: this class of 168 is not letting adversity get the best of them and they certainly will not let tragedy define them. >> i know that in six months, i'll return here with all my friends and family to rejoice thanksgiving and christmas and celebrate recovery. >> good kids. volunteers from across the state of texas are in wimberley tonight and they're doing what they can to help those families devastated
