. >>> let's get right to dylan dreyer who's tracking the storm. dylan, some areas that usually get a lot of snow will get a whole lot of snow this round >> that's good news for the ski resorts across new england, but we are still dealing with the snow falling across the interior northeast that could make roads very slippery. this is the area we're going to focus on now the severe threat is gone with this storm system. now we're going to see the snow as it continues to move up into the north and east we do still have blizzard warnings because of the snow and the wind through the dakotas and snow falling through minnesota too. but it's in the northeast where 15 million people are under these winter storm warnings or watches or advisories, ice is also a concern too across pennsylvania but we could see 12 to up to 18 inches of snow, again, mostly the higher elevations in that i-95 corridor. just rain, and the whole thing's gone as we go into saturday. >> all right, dylan, thanks very much >>> an urgent push by the white house for americans to get flu a

this dangerous weather will affect tens of millions around the country throughout the week dylan dreyer is tracking it. dylan, what's the forecast >> lester, there's a lot going on with this whole system, and here we have the severe threat with tornado warnings and continued watches in effect as this moves to the east overnight, we are going to continue with the threat of more tornados and torrential downpours not only that, but could see wind gusts up to 75 miles per hour and large hail, as well. this area in red that includes most of louisiana, that's where we do have an enhanced risk for strong tornadoes tomorrow, the threat shifts ever so slightly to the east, includes mississippi, parts of alabama and parts of louisiana as well that's the warm side of this storm. where it's cold, we have blizzard warnings in effect, because not only will we see a lot of heavy snow but wind gusts up to 60, 70 miles per hour that will drastically reduce visibility, make conditions very dangerous, and still we could end up with another foot of snow in parts of the dakotas. lester >> dylan, thank you.

dylan dreyer is tracking it. a long night ahead in the deep south. >> it certainly is with that potentially dangerous situation, that tornado watch across three states, in the mississippi, alabama and still continuing to include louisiana. this is moving eastward we still have tornado warnings and straight line wind gusts can cause significant amount of damage, too. in red we have the best chance of seeing those continued tornados and then tomorrow still looking at the threat of severe storms, but the whole threat of tornado activity should weaken a little bit. but we are still going to be concerned about georgia and florida, too. let's talk about the wintry side of this storm system blizzard warnings are still in effect. also want to point out ice warnings in parts of pennsylvania, back into maryland and west virginia, too. that's where we could see a glaze on the road that could make things very dangerous. accumulating snow is mostly across minnesota at this time with two feet of snow possible and blinding cond

. >>> dylan dreyer, let's talk about the weather. >> yes, we have some wet weather to contend with todayhrough the atlanta area right now. also very foggy. if you have delays out of the atlanta airport, that's why. very low visibility there. this rain will make its way into the northeast. this is one of two systems that's going to work eastward by this afternoon and evening we will see some pockets of heavier rain through new jersey, pennsylvania, new england as well, and then that storm system will exit tomorrow morning the next will gather back through the southern plains. that's going to move into the midwest wednesday night into thursday and even on the northern side of it up near omaha we could see more of a wintry mix as some cold air works in we will see rainfall rates of an inch or two per hour that could lead to just ground being saturated and flooding potential for that second round of rain through kentucky and tennessee, through southern missouri and northern arkansas, too. where we could end up with three or four inches of rain that's setup with these couple of systems moving
