some of my conversation earlier with greg archer who is the clean vehicles director of transport and environment an e.u. environmental watch that we want to go back to the issue of the actual fuel tax and he said president had the right approach to addressing the environment but he failed to take on board french economic issues. well i think mr macro has been going about in the right way but he's been trying to do is to equalize the amount of taxes which of paid on both diesel and gasoline because we know that those diesel cars are much more. and he's trying to use that revenue in order to try to shift people away from internal combustion engine cars towards electric ones but the problem he faces is that france is the most taxed economy in europe forty nine percent of g.d.p. is taxation and if you keep pouring water into a glass eventually it spills over and you have a mess and that's exactly what he has the moment so he's done the right thing on the environment but what he's not done is address the wider issues around the social equity of taxation in front it's interesting i'm just looking at a couple
