the dead eagle was found monday in cedar county... about 3 miles southeast of yankton. the bodies of two rooster pheasants and two hens were found close by.it *is* legal to hunt rooster pheasants in nebraska right now... but not *hen* pheasants. bald eagles are protected by federal law... killing one can get you a 250 - thousand dollar fine and 2 - years in prison. anyone who knows anything about this should call the nebraska game and parks commission. 3 a new pool for correctionville is closer to becoming a reality this morning.the woodbury county board of supervisors approved a 5 - thousand dollar grant to help pay for the new pool. the city's also plying for a vision iowa grant... there's some local fundraising going on as well. the city says the estimated cost to replace the pool is almost 100 - thousand dollars... but the project *is* worth the cost. 3 "so it is a pool that surrounding communities do use and we feel that upgading the more desirable to people looking to relocate to the area."correctionville's application for the vision iowa grant will be considered
