a police-involved shooting in a residential neighborhood on eagles nest.megan mcgrath just arrived on the scene. what's going on here? >> reporter: this is a police-involved shooting that happened at an apartment complex on eagle's nest court. two montgomery police officers fired their weapons in this incident and they were responding to a 911 disconnect call. an adult male is dead on the scene. he was armed with a gun and a knife. we don't know if he was shot by the officers or someone else. that's still under investigation, but at least the police officers are responding to the disconnected 911 call and they did fire their weapons. this unfolded around 2:40 when someone from the wearing station neighborhood called 9 is 911 and hung up. it is routine to dispatch officers when there's a hang-up call. they called for backup after arriving on the scene. addional officers arrived to find the man dead inside the apartment. he was suffering from a gunshot wound. we are told that a gun and knife were found next to the man's body. one of the two officers fired th
