breeze this morning, windchill values, pretty rough. 9 degrees when it feels like in eagleville, too, up in bath, at this hour, in northampton county at charles house, so certainly mid winter conditions throughout this weekend, even through much of next week. look at that outside, look out the window, pretty nice, nice sunrise happening from our live burglary camera. looking at the parkway there, flags are going to be blowing today with the winds gusting to up about 35 miles per hour. so again, that's going to take good ten, 15 degrees off the actual air temperature even into the afternoon hours. so headlines, extended arctic blast, certainly arrived. and sticking around, so feels like middle of winter, mid-january again with temperatures running well below average. then we have the threat for nor'easter, moving in for next week. so here is the set up. jet stream has moved back to the south. this is pattern we really haven't seen a lot this winter season. when it did happen, last maybe day or so, then moved on out. this frost is hanging out, so cold air able to sit in place, just in t

we will check with our cbs-3 weather watcher lou in eagleville reporting mostly cloudy conditions and he says he has fancy weather terminology, fropa with sure, gusty and that means frontal passage. impressive meteorology knowledge there, lou. looking at storm scan three we are seeing shower activity making its way across the delaware valley. most light in intensity but where we are seeing darker returns across south jersey and making its waye bound, seeing more in the way of the moderate rainfall there. also sprinkle activity on the back edge of the frontal boundary. huge drip drops around poconos with a snowflake mix nothing. for today today we will dry things out mid-morning. shower possible early and sunshine, windy conditions, high temperature 63 degrees. we have hit that temperature, generally in the 50's, throughout the afternoon and then for tonight mostly clear, colder down to 42 degrees. we have some snow chances, chance of rain, snow, mainly friday morning, model projections giving us either nothing or possibly up to 1 inch and then secondary system to watch as we head into

as we head back to the west we have got 30 degrees, very cold evening, with lou rou in eagleville, 30rees there right now. some photos from weather watchers show blue skies, lots of blue skies but notice, as the squalls came in dark clouds moved through and all of a sudden visibility drops, very, very rapidly. we have been seeing it all over the area today. even though they are not every where, again, we could have problems if you are outside on the roads and winds have been blustery as well. right now wind sustained at 10 to 15 miles an hour, all the way through the region, and it is blustery and it is only going to get more windy as we head through tonight and tomorrow. taking a look outside right now on storm scan three there is that squall we're talking about moving so quickly, as this radar frame right before weather started. it is almost moving out of the frame. it is moving into portions of camden and gloucester counties , right along i-95, right along the new jersey turnpike, slowing you down here with that darker purple shading that is where the heaviest of the snow squals ar

just outside the city here to the north, we will go up to loose's house in eagleville 19 . ski resorts, loving it right now, cranking out snow, check it out we will go live to big boulder right now where it is like a blizzard right there with the sun out and they are building back their base, that they lost from the recent warm weather, but still, conditions have been decent, and it will be a good weekend. if you had are planning to do skiing, riding you will need goggles. they will have these guns running with the cold arctic air in place and able to extend the ski season for a few more weeks. check out that ski report, 48 in jack frost, big boulder. lost a couple of trails but probably will be able to open them up again when they throw down new snow. still you up to 48 in camelback, blue mountain still in good shape with 33 trails opened as of yesterday evening so all weekend long, ideal skiing conditions. in problems getting up to the resorts with dry conditions across the region. now, cold air arctic air settled in behind this front that brought snow squals yesterday. i
