director eaken. >> thank you so much. i just wanted comment as well on this programme. and agree with director brinkman, it's just really just been remarkable how transformative these couple of sandwich boards and bones and barriers have been to neighbourhoods. i wanted to echo i think there's a lot more appetite. we're surprised by how much more appetite there is for these when people have gotten a feel for them. and i just know in los angeles, they're taking a slightly different approach and they're asking communities to step up and apply to host the slow street and in one woke they've gotten 120 applications from communities for slow streets and so i just hope that we can find someway to allow communities and neighbourhoods to express where they have preferenced for more of these slow streets because i think there's a lot of excitement and interest out there. >> so for anyone wanting to express interest in slow streets, please go to sfmta.com/covid and click on the link for slow streets. we're sti

director eaken. >> thank you so much, chair heinicke. i have been doing a ton of thinking about what this crisis means for our transportation field broadly and what it means for our transportation system here in san francisco. and thank you so much, director, for the very helpful transit update. i also observed the creation of the economic recovery task force that was convened by the mayor to think about seeing how we recover as a city. i wanted to just put out a request to staff at this point and if it's possible to get any input from my fellow board members thinking about malcolm's comments earlier in the meeting about when and how we're going to signal to the public that the transit system is coming back online. thinking about the comments from the public about creating walking and biking space. and it's not and also thinking about director tomlin and the time to rethink the mobility system from the ground up. i wanted to request that staff work to kind of develop and the mobility plan work and what this will do is key up an opportuni
