all eyes on warren hall in cu east bay. the building has been up for 40 years and this morning it will come crashing down. keira is live at the scene. good morning, keira. >> hi, katie. we're just 13 minutes away fr-- minutes away from this 13-story building being blown away. this building is a landmark on the cal state campus. it can be seen across hayward. it's been here since the early '70s, but it was built right along a fault line. it was deemed the most seismically unsafe building in the cu system. it's been abandoned for the last two years and the campus is closed this morning for the demolishing of warren hall. this is how it will work this morning. 462 pounds of explosives will be used to make the building lean and then collapse on itself, kind of like a pancake, with the bottom floor falling first and then everything else falling on top of it. the cu trustees authorized 50 million there are for this collapse, and then the replacement of the building, it will end up being just a five-story administrative building,

it's burning east of groveland.highway 20, the main route linking the bay area to yosemite. tara moriarty is in our studio now with some new information about what's going on at those fire lines. tara? >> reporter: well, this fire is out of control. crews say the potential for it to spread farther is very likely. the rim fire has jumped roads and even a river. we have zero containment. the fire is in a very difficult spot for crews to reach. that's really made it a huge challenge for firefighters. more than 10,000 acres have burned. so far, at least two homes have been destroy. 2500 homes are threatened. there is a high concern for firefighters' safety, spoke exposure -- smoke expose sure has been an -- exposure has been an issue. the fire is not affecting yosemite national park itself. but many tourists are now turning around and going back home. under evacuation orders, 200 seniors left the camp there yesterday. vacationers have left san jose family camp and the berkeley tuolumne camp. a children's summer camp has
