a beauty shot of the east bay shoreline. pretty good view there off to the distance. ay itself. however, the east bay shoreline was involved in this earlier as was of the peninsula. they side that's been taken out. now it's east of the east bay hills and up to solano county. the delta and a little bit to the north 8 until 11 o'clock is a formality. but that, too may mix out. so upstream will be spread by some of those high thickening up at times. but there's a front behind it. not a lot of moisture with it. so monday night there will be a temperature change or forests of as we get into tuesday and that rain opportunity for a few sprinkles up to the north bay. we're going to 60 right now in hayward, most readings in the 50's of kind of a toasty 61 for half moon bay because the coastal areas were never really impacted at all by this fog advisory. we've been talking about scattered clouds again, noting this afternoon. temperatures are kind be spread out a little bit here. so we're going to show you the 4 zone forecast and you'll see some variety will tend to see a lot of

know now, that's going to be a big impact on temperatures lower 60's across a good chunk of the east bay. you can see up to the north bay santa rosa raced ahead at 66 going to be falling almost 30 degrees tonight, almost 63 going on for san jose. the lineup heading into the evening again, taking care of that last minute cloud cover by the time we get to around 10, look at the temperatures, how quickly they drop. again. lot is resting on where you are in the windshield in areas where temperatures will fall a little quicker back to the cloud cover. this should start to thin out here as we approach into the evening hours. say 8, 9 o'clock. most of the bay area will be starlet and moonlit 47 for san francisco tonight. also oakland 44 san jose. again, some of the spots inland will be seeing temperatures fall a little bit more so this is a little sample here up in the north bay. a lot of upper 30's in place and off to solano county. this is kind of tricky here because they'll be some winds and winds kind of, you know, they interrupt the cooling and sometimes heating process as well around the

but overall we're finally seeing clear calmer conditions for those the east bay over berkeley. and we're going to notice an increase in cloud cover tonight for your bay area forecast. let's take a look what you can expect with radar for showing very dry. clear conditions. some high clouds overhead throughout the san francisco peninsula. but then all that changes by the middle of this week starting thursday night light bands of rain arriving. for those of you in the north bay inching its way down to the san francisco peninsula and east ba shoreline by thursday night and then it's going to be an overnight storm or saturday morning could still see some lingering showers. and even for those of you in santa rosa could notice a few more showers by your friday afternoon to early evening, but then drying out friday night with that cloud cover sticking type. but then clear conditions and drier conditions by next weekend. but this week's storm really going to benefit the coast. about a quarter of an inch of rain or less than a 10th of an inch of rain for the rest of us. but we are also go

for now we have to talk about a frost advisory for inland valleys east bay and north bay. that's a pretty view over the city where there are no issues. a relatively warm 50 degrees in the city and just about anywhere else that has access to the bay down the peninsula, east bay shoreline, down through san mateo, lower 50s. we've got a few mid 40s the further south you go. by the time you get to san jose, it's 41. that's chilly but not cold enough for the frost advisory. for that, up here, mid 30s for north bay valleys, low 40s for inland valleys of the east bay. watch what happens when you put on the frost advisories and you can see the pattern. up here, 580, 680. so from concord to livermore and then a frost advisory here as well. fog is not an issue. visibility looks great. as we look to daytime highs, there is a fast turn around so the numbers really warm back up. we're going to be 69 degrees in san jose today and we'll see mid 60s for north bay valleys and for inland east bay valleys. it will be a sunny day but not totally. there are these mid level clouds that will be

we will also see some low 70s for parts of the east bay, oakland today reaching 69 degrees. n mateo reaching 70 for today. downtown san francisco, we have upper 60s and our north bay highs will reach into the low and mid-70s. we're not getting rain but somebody is. that atmospheric river is targeting this area with a blast of heavy rain. they have even had issues with flooding. the atmospheric river still going on, it's just not here but will be up and down, and then by the time this gets here next week it falls apart with rain, and so santa rosa, we have highs in the 70s this weekend. next weekend, not nearly as warm. just prepare for that in advance. take a look at these temperatures for us. we're going to reach into the low 70s this weekend. once again, starting out with fog and clouds and then sunshine for the afternoon. very comfortable. more clouds early next week and slightly cooler temperatures by tuesday and wednesday. >>> mike, you have double good news for the bay bridge. >> yeah, we will take that for the bay bridge, and even single good news is right. clouds are

once we get to inland valleys of east bay and for the rest of the tour here on out, it's mid 60s. e bay. it's a degree or two different from a location 40 miles away. it's not the time of year where we do the 30-degree temperature spreads. we kind of level the playing field. speaking of that, look at the seven-day forecast. there are no changes, sunny and low 70s across the whole thing for san jose. as we look at our micro climates, a similar story here. on the one hand it's nice to have weather that's picture perfect chamber of commerce type weather for the holiday especially if you have friends or family visiting. it's a great time to show that off. we need to get back in the rain business and at least through the end of this month and really into early december, i don't see major rain events. it could be good news for commuters. >>> at least the roadways will be dry. we are seeing busy conditions in some spots. if you are headed through napa area, i have positive news to report. we have had our eye on this trouble spot along 221. it looks like it is clearing stages. this was a d

in the east bay an armored truck was robbed at gunpoint in oakland. police are now investigating it happened shortly before 10 o'clock tuesday morning at the food bill shopping center just off interstate 80 officers say they responded to reports of an armed robbery in progress. but by the time they arrived, the suspects were gone. no one was injured. police have not released any information on a possible suspect or a getaway vehicle. police have made a second arrest in the fatal shooting council member's home. that happened over halloween weekend. officials say 18 year-old lucas thomas said he was arrested in gilroy while authorities were searching serve wart while authorities were serving a search warrant there as part of their investigation into that shooting. well, a gun was also found at the scene. and although police did not say if it's a saying gun used during that shooting. a teenager was killed. 3 other teens were also injured when shots rang out at a house party the night before halloween police say the investigation is still currently ongoin

so very cold there and then you've got mid to some upper 30's in the east bay. bility across a good part of the bay area away from the coastline and the bay lows looking like this overnight tonight about 31 degrees in santa rosa 34 in the napa valley. 37. and livermore for a cold morning, 38 degrees and talking about 35 in antioch inside the bay. not quite as cold. but you stuff. some upper 30's and some low 40's for lows. high pressure setting the jet stream. well to the nor that is keeping us very, very dry out there. and that's the way it's going to hold on. we're seeing that offshore wind kicking into. and with that offshore wind, that dry epconditions continuing around the bay or just a week offshore wind right now. but this is likely to ramp up overnight, especially over the mountain tops but 1000 feet or so some gusty winds developing over there overnight tonight. so it will be blustery in spots. but then down below fairly calm. and after those cold temperatures going kind of settle in for the night by day tomorrow, though, we're looking at 60's and 70's a

well, in the east bay oakland police are investigating another couple of shootings that happened within about 5 hours of each other. latest shooting involved a mother and a daughter who were shot while inside their home kron four's. dan kerman has that story for us. >> another violent weekend in the city of oakland at 1030 sunday night. a woman and her 11 year-old daughter were shot well inside a home in the 7500 block of sterling drive. >> this is happening way too frequently and it is maddening seeing the blatant disregard for human life. both are in stable condition and expected to survive. but council member lauren taylor says. >> people have to find nonviolent ways to resolve conflict. we have to. >> engage with family members who we know have a weapon and you know, may be considering using it that we really pleased with them and convince them that there are other ways to resolve issues challenges that they're facing. >> the serenity of lake merritt has been shaken to its core by violence as well as seen on video from the citizen app. police were back along lakeshore avenue early m
