now we're talking about central portions of florida and really it's the east coast and the northeast coast of florida that is in the crosshairs right now as we're taking a peek at some of the footage that has been showing up all across the state. there's naples on the left, fort myers on the right, and again, everything under water, right? the ocean is moved inland. we've also got freshwater flooding from all of the rain that's been falling. again, that video there out of naples gets me every time i've seen it three or four times already. look at that. that power line down and just and going nuts in the middle of the street. and that's why some two million plus customers are without power in florida. as of right now. that happening all across the state as ian continues to push further inland. it's still a hurricane as it made landfall early this afternoon right around 3:00 o'clock. that was a category four storm strength. now we're at a category one , but it's still a hurricane, which is unbelievable. it's been cut off from its moisture source for going on a half of the day now. and i

typhoon muifa made land twice on the east coast.he storm first landed and then struck shanghai shortly afr midnight thursday. e countrs weather agency issued the highest level alert for a typhoon for the first time this year. this comes a week after another typhoon led to a suspension of services and led to school closures. and muifa is expected to make a third land fall. take a look at this track. we will see heavy rainfall from eastern areas of china and it can make landfall and the fourth landfall in portions of lioni province. a lot of heavy rain is on the way. winds are going to be strong as well. we have a large storm likely to pound a lot of places. now, this system is a large one. right now, a severe tropicalal storm will likely get close to the southwestern islands of japan on saturday and change the course towards the northeast. it could make landfall in western japan's kyushu, move over land or move over the sea of japan into tuesday. according to this model, a lot of heavy rain and strong winds will pound the southwester

east bay. still an excessive heat watch along the bay and coast. weather service still making up their minds in terms of whether they want to issue a heat advisory there. i don't think it will be necessary along the coast. temperatures are likely to tap out into the low 70s, but around around the bay, low 70s with so many homes lacking air conditioning in that part of the the bay area, in my be worthy of of a heat advisory. the real heat will be inland. temperaturs well into the 90s inland and again on friday and the hundred degree plus saturday, sunday, monday, and tuesday. these are kind of the averages. the hottet the hottest spots will be close to 110 degrees sunday and monday. those are the peak days of this particular heat wave. the air quality will not be great either. it will not be terrible, i don't think worse than what we saw today, mostly yellow dots on the map to purple purple air indicating moderate air quality. not going to get br get better, either. that haze on on the horizon it will still be there through the remainder of the work
