palo alto from redwood city. the south bay commute continues to be slow. 8:46, steve. >>> thank you, sal. we are looking for quieter conditions here, but the wind is right out of the easthe bay, highs close to average today. santa rosa and san josi, 74, a little bit above. even though the wind speeds are not bad, it's the humidity for the fire conditions. ridge ranch only 8% humidity, better down towards the valley floor. but the wind continues to favor that northeast direction even though the wind speeds have been trending down a bit. the humidity is not going up, still in the teens and low 20%, although some are closer toward the valley floor in the 60s, 70%. it's not the wind speed. it's that low humidity, even up into lake county, 9%. that's the problem here. things are very quiet now after that system marched off to the east. it stayed east, which didn't allow the winds to crank up for everybody. it did for some. half moon bay, gust of 40 miles an hour and humidity 8%. the cold air has made it to southern nevada and into arizona, las vegas 37 degrees. that's cold for them. 12 degrees in the grand canyon. for us it will be sunny, and 70s on the temps. happy to say,
