but here, you know, woodside palo alto east, palo alto, and then you have a hot spot here in the south bay near campbell long stevens creek boulevard. saratoga avenue. yeah. more than 5,000 customers without power. and you think about the 20,000 who are without power in the south bay for every one customer. that's about 3 people. so it's not 20,000 people. it's about 20,000 customers, 60,000 people. and it has just been brutal pg spent much of the day today early in the day preparing for this. then the storm hit and there's not really a ton. you can do as the winds are whipping gale force, the utility had been staging crews and equipment throughout the bay area to try to be ready as best they can. they know the drill by now pg and e says customers can expect to receive refunds if their power was disrupted. >> if they have been out of power during previous especially those have been out for a longer than normal period of time. we really encourage them to submit a claim. will take a look individually at each of those claims. we're doing adjustments for customers who have been out of powe

there's stafford palo alto, menlo park east palo alto up into redwood city. you know, belmont all the way up into san mateo. basically you can go to the airport, which is right up here and everything south of that from 101, to the south bay is a mess. the next hardest hit areas after the south bay and the peninsula would be the east bay, which again is much better. you're looking at fewer than 50,000 customers now and the east bay and peninsula without power. rough. you know, densely-populated areas here when you get into a concord, pleasant hill down into walnut creek and especially areas in between clayton closer out blow. you know, east of 6.80, there ton of people without power. the east bay hills here through also albany down into berkeley, right out of 5.80, here up in the hills that had all been really widespread outages. but they have gotten that back online. so that's the good news. north bay, not too bad, maybe 4,000 customers, but considering all the rain you had up there and all the wind co 80 mile an hour gusts on mount tam north bay could be a l

you see, they put up a sandbag station, now the mayor of neighboring east palo alto, says her city's cruise i have been out ahead of today's storm to mitigate its impact. we have staff members that are in the field. they've been cleaning out. storm drains, cleaning out debris and really trying to prepare the community for this rainstorm. residents in that city endured days long outage last month as a result of one of winds, rain brought down tree limbs, which took out power lines and utility lines. as a result, many residents in the south bay and peninsula are bracing for this morning storm. sandbags now line some homes and waterways prone to flooding. we prepare. we have lambs. we have other sources of energy would charge our chargers for phones or for emergency and that's yeah, that definitely made us like wake up and be prepared. pv andy executives have mobilized cruise and have materials preposition that some of their maintenance yards around the area. there are also shifting crews from areas that have less impact to areas of greater concern. also the rain is not welcome news for
