this happened just after 1:00 this afternoon on eastbound 580 near 238. >> reporter: traffic has cleared and moving on 580 for the evening commute. but that was not the case this afternoon. it all happened on eebt 580. you can see the car that was hit. two men inside the car, both were injured. the driver was hit by a bullet on his right hand, the passenger in the torso. windows are shattered and blown out. they do not have a lot of details in this case, whether it was a gang shooting, road rage or somethinges. but they say be on the lookout when you're driving. >> we don't want anybody to get harmed. >> reporter: that stretch of freeway, all of lanes were fully closed for 45 minutes with all of the vehicles taken off of the freeway at 150th avenue as chplooks for bullet casings on the road. they have not released the victim's name and do not have a description of the spect vehicle. but they say the danger to the general public is done. on the over at this point of the it was an isolated incident on the freeway in alameda county. >>> police and fbi agents nearly outnumbered students and
