that easterly wind bring inge moisture off the bay and the ocean so we are going to see the cloud cover. that's going to help keep us cool tomorrow. we are going to be in temperatures only around 80 on the high side because of much of the cloud cover and a front that's going to start to bring in some cooler air. this is danny. it's being called disorganized danny, and for good reason. the center of circulation is actually over here on the left side. it's actually in this quadrant here. what you are seeing here are storms off to the east. what that's going to mean fours is that as this storm starts to progress to the north and northwest, the storms to the east stay away from the coastline. although the circulation is pretty close. this cone of probability is still going to couldn't pretty close passing by we expect about 140 miles off to the east of the east coast, and as, does it we're still going to see the high surf, the heavy waves, and potentially a very light storm surge, but as the storm moves on by it knocks that water back out so we're not talking about any really big problems w

because the winds are now off of the easterly direction. off the ocean. and there's two things. number 1. it keeps their temperatures down a bit. instead of the west wind, which really rises in temperatures. and also brings in warmer water from the gulf stream. so when you have a west wind, the temperatures in the water start to drop into the 60s. when winds out of the east go back up to 70. they go to 75, 76 degrees. that's really nice. dew point down to 66. a little more comfortable. a nice summer day. east winds around the region. east winds, ocean city. at 8, d.c. winds southwest over the weekend. and that's going to allow some of this fair but warmer conditions to move in. down to the south, along the gulf. the gulf coast there in florida, and along the atlantic coast. perhaps this thing by the bahamas may join up. could be quite a bit of rain. extreme southern wind. could develop into some kind of tropical system. we'll keep watching it. but from our region, looks like high pressure building in. and it will eventually get warmer. temperatures getting close to 90. normal hi

we'll talk about danny or easterly tracks that are training out there. that's a good thing. 50 miles per hour. right now, about 550 miles southeast. it could become a hurricane once they pick up past them. the real interesting thing about this track is what they do to southern new england. they will get hit with the tropical storm forced winds if they take a more westerly track to get hit with the hurricane forced winds. we show you this with bill and also danny yesterday, the lines are coming together. representing a computer model. they are coming together to get out there. we agree, we're all happy, more confidence. and one line, one track, they do take it, just over boston. and that would be unbelievable. that really will do some serious damage to them. and we'll be in pretty good shape except for the rip currents. you know someone going to the beach, and probably closing some beaches this weekend because of that. the track is important. we have talked about that yesterday. beaches, heavy surf and rip currents, no matter what track it takes. it'll mi

that's where the wind comes in, an easterly breeze. and also the same around the bay.ut that's where the clouds have been forming. look at ocean city. 78 degrees. nice day to be at the beach with that sunshine. that breeze keeps you cool. on the other hand, boy, it's been warm and humid down into florida with the temperatures up into the 80s. pensacola has had over seven inches of rain today. here's where the heat is on. i think we'll really begin building as we go through the week. because here's the pattern that we had so much of this summer. that is seasonable where we see the jet stream near us. it hasn't allowed things to build. as we get later into the week, the weekend and next week, it looks like the ridge, that is the overall pattern, will be building, allowing the heat to build up in the midpart of the country. as a matter of fact, for next week -- for the folks that prediction center, the outlook is for temperatures very likely to be above average. that would be into the 90s in the mid-part of the country and also for us. if that builds, we may be looking at
