>> heavy rain slowing down the friday afternoon rush hour and the storms are really impacting the eastern shore and southern maryland where severe thunderstorm warnings have been issued. the potential is there for some damaging winds in this line of storms. the worst of the weather stretching across queen anne's county and moving into northern caroline county, and down toward -- >> county. -- down toward charles county. there is some potential for rotation with that system moving northeast at 14 miles an hour. all along that line of storms there is the potential for heavy downpours that could cause localized flooding. the good news for our region is that things are drying out rapidly to the west of us. this line of storms will impact the area for the next couple of hours and then rapidly improving weather conditions are expected to come our way. there was storm damage in the dundalk area. barry simms has more on that. >> chain saws have become a familiar sound in dundalk. lightning hit this trade just as a neighbor struggle to get home in a heavy downpour. -- kit this free. >> it was loud
