there is a water maine break. 72-inch main broken in dundalk in eastern baltimore county. the break is at dundalk and done haven. you are look at cell phone video from a manager working in the box and save. she describes it as looking so much worse now. to give you a sense of what it is like, this water is continuing to rush through that area and heading south toward the water's edge neighborhood and streets all around that area are absolutely flooded right now. there are cars under water. vans under water. you can barely see street signs. trees and houses. this is a major catastrophe for the area. >> as water flows it starts hitting things like cars and trees and houses so it starts backing up. that's the reason it is getting deep. it is flowing in the bay. it is not like it is a river running in one direction. it is making the water back up. it still continues to flow. 72 inches you are talking about a six foot in diameter pipe. >> this is across from the marine terminal. brown highway has buckled under the pressure of the water. this is going to be a major problem for a

. >>> we have breaking news from eastern baltimore county.mike perry is live in sky eye chopper 13. he'll tell us what is going on. >>> denise, we are over a spectacular water main break this. apparently has broken, somewhere around burning highway, at dundalk avenue. this is in the logan village shopping center area of the lower end of dundalk, baltimore county. now, this water main is a very large volume and has completely flooded dundalk avenue and portions of burning highway that go by the marine terminals is completely undermined. they do have significant issues here. water rescues are ongoing. a lot of this water has flooded into the neighborhood of logan village. behind the shopping center. you see the water, literally 2 1/2 feet of it, running down the roadway. cars stuck in there. now, they have some of these cars occupied. so the fire department is trying to figure out how to get to these folks. some of the folks that live in the neighborhood have just looked outside, seen what's going on, and they're trying to move their vehicles,

north of baltimore, the eastern shore we have showers. i want to take you to two spots.ne to dahlgren and other to the eastern shore. some showers here. if you are coming up the bridge in to maryland on 301 you will run in to that and well south off the river we have a shower there and anne arundel county we have seen a couple of showers pop in the last few minutes. this is drifting across the bay over to kent island, north of the bay bridge. i think for the most part the western areas should be all right. 72 fredericksburg. mid 60s hagertown and culpeper. cooler air is trying to ease in. it is not coming blasting in but it will ooze in over the course of the day. 69 with a nestle wind at 7 miles an hour and the humidity is 84%. the other change for the weekend forecast is i think a lot of moisture from the forecast. will be pulled north. this is barely moving. high pressure building in and it will block this and not allow it to come in. i thought that will be the case yesterday but i think the weekend is in better shape than what we told you on tuesday. here's the seven

so basically from baltimore westward no more precipitation. cecil county southward in the eastern shore here, another half an hour to an hour of rain and it's all out of here and in behind it clearing skies. going to be a pretty nice looking forecast scenario overnight tonight and in the day tomorrow. so look out for the windy conditions behind that pump but the early showers already moving out of the baltimore area at 50 degrees overnight tonight. on the bay, a small craft advisory because west winds 15 gusting 25. it's going to be blues degree but not a chilly day. we'll make it close to 70 but most of the day down in the 60s, here is that forecast. 69 degrees for the high temperature, downtown, may squeak up to 70, but a struggle to get there most of the day. quite windy, look out for wind gusts, 15, 20 miles per hour. seven-day forecast looking more an more autumn-like here. time to get the pumpkin pine in the oven maybe as oui, oui go toward wednesday and thursday. i know terry and i like the souped of that. but it will be more fall issue here the middle of the week. >> thank

eastern shore, it's over. but as you can see around the central and northern sections of maryland, southern york county, baltimore and harford, that's where the heaviest rains are occurring at this time. several more hours. at least until we see this thing drizzling down. baltimore county, not the whole county. as we said, the northern baltimore and northern harford and portions of cecil and frederick county. winds are beginning to shift more away from that region. we've had a horribly wet day. tim has a look at updated rainfall numbers. >> the flood warnings are in place for a reason. bob, we're still tallying these numbers as the rain continues to fall. 2.35 inches of rain, just over two and a quarter inches. but just below that, northern baltimore county, the hereford zone, seeing 3 inches of rain. just about an inch and a half at bwi marshall. and look over toward the eastern shore. the lower right of your screen. over 5 inches of rain in ocean city. up about six inches just below that. and salisbury, we're seeing 2 inches of rain, not too much to the west in hagerstown. and each toward d.c. not quite an inch

we were already beginning to dip down in the $40. 52 now in baltimore, annapolis 61, 60 still on the eastern shore. but these temperatures i think are going to stabilize a little bit at these levels. they will begin to drop. will probably get down maybe to a few upper 40s in the suburbs. take a look at bwi this morning. i got to point it out. 47 this morning, 42 the old record low from way back in the 1950s. so you get an idea how unseasonably cool it was this morning. average temperature down to 55. we get a nice rebound topping out at 73. widespread chilly temperatures, look at that, 40 up in york, plenty of spots in p.a. this morning that dropped into the upper 0s for an hour or so. so a chilly start. we'll get a nice rebound tomorrow, high temps today in the low 70s, tomorrow toward the mid-70s, again those current temperatures out there across the board this evening. not so bad. you know, mid-50s, even some 60s, still on the map as you head west. so these temperatures, we can deal with them. we'll see a trend through the week into the 80s, only back down into the 70s for highs. rainfall
