this is the other storm we're talking about in eastern kentucky. this is magoffin and morgan county. the warning has just been extended, so two very dangerous situations we're talking about across central kentucky. the other thing that concerns me that i'm watching at this hour is what's happening to the south and west of this line of storms. we're getting new development just outside -- there we go, just outside of the nashville area and in nashville as well. look at that, we're even starting to get signs of rotation here even though there is not a warning. nashville, you need to be on high alert, especially if you live north of there as this line of thunderstorms is now expanding and it's going to be intensifying here over the next couple of hours. and as we take a look at the big picture for the watches, the two watches that are in place for this hour -- a watch, by the way, conditions are right for tornadoes. a warning means it's happening now, seek shelter. so the watch for nashville across southern kentucky and the other one here across easter

really focused in across parts of eastern kentucky into northwestern north carolina and western parts and so that's where we're going to be seeing those heavy snowfall rates and really travel not advised here. overall washington, d.c., you're getting off pretty lucky with this storm. all the moisture has been staying to your south. some of this could sneak in here but we're not looking for significant accumulations. a little difficulty for your travel. even the places near that rain and snow have low overcast conditions so that makes it it tough to navigate into the area airports. there are winter storm warnings in effect here along i-77, along 81 and that's where we're expecting three to six inches of accumulation. you have to get up in elevation to start to see some of the greater numbers. for the most part we've been seeing snowfall totals on the range of two to three inches. for example, williamsburg, kentucky, looking at about two inches of snowfall. where is the system headed? this thing is going to be moving up to the north and east and kind of a fast mover up at this point. th
