the showers along the eastern seaboard of the united states will continue to give us a chance for shower thunderstorm activity during the day tomorrow. heavier rain on the eastern shore. and as we get into friday, things are looking again, scattered showers across the region. not everybody is going to see them. but they are going to be around. but over the week, that's when the heat really comes rolling back in. wait until you see the seven- day forecast. cloudy skies tonight. some early morning fog. showers and storms are going to be scattered around. 68 for the overnight low. during the day tomorrow and thursday, cloudy, showers and storms with a high of 82 degrees. that's the last cool one you're going to see, because wait until you see what happens on friday. starts to warm to 86. 91 on saturday. 90 on sunday, with lots of humidity around. so it's going to feel uncomfortable, even though it's going to be partly cloudy. showers come back out of the region with cooler temperatures on monday and tuesday. and partly cloudy on wednesday with high of 86 degrees. back at 6 with more on the

gradually going to be making their way along the eastern seaboard.nd throughout the day we've been seeing one of the areas of low pressure make its way up to eastern seaboard. another one is getting trod make its way up. as it does so, it's going to be pulling in that northeasterly breeze, pulling moisture into the region. that's what is going to cause the higher than normal tides. and the heaviest rainfall is going to be on the eastern shore. right now we're seeing some shower activity to the south and west of our region. right now maryland's most powerful radar. here is the baltimore area. most of this activity is in the upper atmosphere not reaching the ground. here is heavier showers and thunderstorms. as you can see, they're moving up towards the north and west. kind of moving on that direction, basically on that line right there. that's where they're going to see the heaviest activities out in that region, at least for tonight there is a chance for scattered showers around the baltimore area, going through portions of carroll, down to howard an

the heaviest rainfall will occur to the northwest and also along the eastern seaboard.ll see a better chance for general rainfall, a better chance here in the baltimore area during the day tomorrow as these two systems move rapidly up toward the north. this is a very intense area of low pressure making its way towards the north and east along the eastern seaboard. that's the reason they have the coastal flood advisory. they could extend it into maryland because of high surf and riptides and things of that nature. the shower activity came through the region about 1:30, 2:00, made its way northward into pennsylvania. we're seeing the heaviest rainfall out to the west. also scattered showers on the eastern shore, just south of dover, delaware. but as we go through the evening, very much like last night, pop-up showers could occur any place, just about any time. last night between damascus, mount airy, taylorsville and up through the westminster area, they got hammered with very heavy thunderstorm. even produced hail. temperature-wise 80 degrees. 83 in owings mills. moncton

the low pressure moving along the eastern seaboard. that's where it's going to continue for the next couple days as the areas of low pressure move in, pull the moisture in from the atlantic, and that's what causes the clouds and the pop-up shower activity. talking about pop-up shower activity there is that one shower we're talking about making its way up towards the severn region, but it's losing a little bit of power. as it approaches the baltimore beltway. there is the beltway right there. it's making its way northward there are showers out in western maryland. but as they're hitting the mountains, they're in the process of falling apart. don't be at all surprised to see some of the showers just kind of pop up and develop as we go through the evening. right now in owings mills 76. 82 in walkersville. 77 in hanover. landover right now at 80 degrees. churchville 74. 81 in rock hall. 78 in lovely tillman island. as far as the forecast for this evening, the majority of the rainfall is out to the west. it's over western maryland. on the o

just about everybody on the eastern seaboard dealing with the warm weather. we'll see if it will be a good weekend at the beach in a moment. 77 up towards philly, 76 in new york. all of these places have the chance of getting severe weather as we head through today. there's showers up there in northern new jersey and the new york metro area. we're looking at these showers and storms that extend to the deep south. this is a frontal boundary that will bump into the heat and humidity in place already. as it does spread eastbound, we have the risk of severe storms popping up as we head on in through the afternoon and evening hours. essentially, as we slide on in through today, plan for this afternoon to turn downhill. we'll start off with sun this morning. the developing storms especially after 3:00 or 4:00 could turn severe. that means the potential of damaging winds over 60 miles per hour, large hail over the size of pennies. we have frequent lightning and the chance some of the storms spin up isolated tornadoes. that chance of severe storms will taper off this

today what we're going to see, a chance of strong storms developing along parts of the eastern seaboard some severe into the afternoon, that includes the nation's capital and back over to new york and back into boston. boston right now, things look good for the time being. temperatures right now in the 70s warming up to the 80s. something else that we could see warm up are temperatures across parts of the central plains like dallas. this is north on parts of i-35 and oklahoma city. you could have not only warm temperatures, but scattered showers and storms. video of storm damage yesterday in oklahoma. let's show you that now if we can. pretty intense in a few spots. you see the straight line winds causing some kind of damage and tearing up a lot of telephone poles there and little bit of roof damage to say the least. before the day is out, we could see that erupt one more time. it is all erupting along this frontal boundary. as we pull back into parts of the oklahoma panhandle and into portions of new mexico, colorado, moisture coming in from the gulf of mexico combined with your daytim

mid to upper 70s on the eastern seaboard. we've already had showers roll through earlier on.hose of you in anne arundel county probably woke up with thunder and lightning. that passed through cape may and now near atlantic city, new jersey. we also have rain on the west side. it's been falling apart with heavier storms that did blow through northern virginia in the last couple hours but thunder and lightning passing their way on in through south central and western sections of pennsylvania. this is part of a band of rain and storms that will continue to regenerate as we head through the day. give or take the time frame, we generally got the plot midday with more showers and storms. there could be locally heavy rain producers, flash flooding a possibility. and yes of course the dangerous frequent lightning and thunder. heavy rain continues through the this evening and tonight at times. then tomorrow a warm humid day, partly sunny with scattered showers. we'll probably do it again as we head through friday. today, looking for 82 degrees. we're pulling back a little on the throt

that we're talking about continues to funnel moisture into the region as it moves on by the eastern seaboard and is heading right into new england with very heavy amounts of rain. they could see two to three, maybe even four inches of rain over portions of connecticut can, rhode island, as well as massachusetts. in the meantime, we've got showers and thunderstorms that are lurking back just to the west of us. right now here is the baltimore area. here is that one storm system that came through the carroll county region. it's now gone into baltimore county. just some light showers. but another batch of thunderstorms is heading in that direction. once that batch gets through the region, things should calm down for the night. as you can see, again, very spotty storms across the area. temperature-wise right now, in moncton 76. 76 in owings mills. westminster at 77 degrees. it's 8 for rock hall. northeast right now at 77 degrees. here is your forecast for tonight there is the majority of the rain, just to the west of us, getting ready to pull into and through the baltimore- carroll county region.

the reason being that we've got areas of low pressure moving along the eastern seaboard, and they're going to continue to do so. they form up down here off the georgia and carolina coastline. bringing rainfall to portions of new england, the eastern shore. also to the west of us. and here in the baltimore area, we could see scattered showers. but again, it's going to be pop- up variety. the thing that we've got to remember, though, those areas of low pressure with the counterclockwise circulation of air, that's going to be dragging in the moisture from the atlantic, continuing the clouds, continuing the high humidity, the sun working on the amount of moisture available will give the pop-up showers. some places are going to see them. some places won't see any. right now maryland's most powerful radar not indicate anything precipitation around here. but here is some of the shower activity out to the west, heading on towards portions of western maryland. we will be precipitation-free overnight. but again tomorrow afternoon, more showers popping up. don't forget, you can always go to our
