my sense in eastern soma where it was not doing things 10 years ago is eastern soma has exploded so much that it's spaces for offices and my guess is that we have way out stripped or on the verge of out stripping the growth for eastern soma. it's the same in the areas, the western end of market street where there has been explosion of dot com. techies. we are losing non-office space. i have a hard time understanding it from what the department tracks. what i did manage to get out of dbi and i was shocked to see the projects contained $500. the transit plan was $57 million. that's supposed to be funding transit and they are deferring it. the second largest project was the rincon hill to the tower that is now under construction. it's next to the bay bridge and third was 45 lansing. when you add these together which is high end view condos, they took a feeder which is not acceptable. because rincon hill has horrible transit and it doesn't have any affordable housing. so what are we doing for affordable housing and transit in the most explosive areas. i think we need a little bit of context

we don't have any idea of what projects are coming through in market octavia and mission, and eastern soma and western soma. what projects have paid how much money and are going to pay how much money. some of it is in the future for transit. we have undone transit improvements up the wazzoo. and we have get additional bus routes. we have pardon me crappy transit in the areas that the department has expanded affordable housing from office. and one of the places was just reported a couple of minutes ago. was the twitter headquarters and merchandise mart, 1.2 million square feet of office was created by fiat. bit by the board of apepeals. they didn't pay one penny for housing. did not pay one penny for transit. it used to be a furniture warehouse display. when we don't know what money is coming in, what projects are coming through, we don't have an understanding what you are doing with the area plans. i am on the verge of going to oppose every single area plan. because they got information to the public, they got public participation and they got ear's. i am not happy doing that but i have se

which is about half of the eastern neighborhood area plan has seen most of the dramatic growth in bicycling. since the 2000-2010 census, many areas in the mission and the south soma area have seen more than a hundred percent increase in cycling in the periods. there is a lot of people bicycling through this area. the mission in particular has the highest for bicycles by folsom and market street. we've also looked at the changing land use patterns in the area and the area has increased area for bicycling ride. the road is flat and there is key areas that need significant improvement, button general the great network and the topography is very favorable. it's just the condition is such that we are going to need to do a lot more contiguous and connected bicycle infrastructure. what we've development now with the bicycle strategy is a new form of assessment of our existing bicycle network which is what we call level of traffic stride. it's a feel for a general population about how they feel riding their bicycles through different corridor. the level of traffic stress 1-46789 think of the jfk drive or riding through golden gate park. that's where people feel assessmen
