showers forming in eastern texas strong upper level winds. this is all pacific moisture right now. and eventually once the storm forms over the gulf of mexico we will throw in the gulf moisture and the clouds will thick n n during the day and on wednesday things get interesting. the front you saw over texas stalls over us forming a bit of a barrier. north winds to the north and south wind to the south and convergence with rain forming along it and the storm center of mexico. this is 8 am on wednesday, scattered light rain showers, latter part of the morning and afternoon noting the stripe in orange and that is heavier rain and some embedded thunderstorms. because this is going to be a rain maker that type of atmosphere is not conducive for severe weather. if you get anything you will get gusty winds from the south. the heavy rain sets up in look at one-four inches of rain with this type of setup. this is late afternoon and early evening around 5:30. look at the rain blowing through. it begins to move away and it looks like we will get into scattered light showers as we get into the

the mid atlantic and so for us it's tricky call we will get grazed by the storm that is out in eastern texas. there's a lot of upper revel energy and a lot of moisture with this thing. and it's starting to tap the gulf of mexico for some of the moisture. areas of snow through missouri and kansas and nebraska but we have seen blossoming thunderstorms across the southeast and there's a he threat for severe weather through the remainder of the day today. along the gulf coast states. by tomorrow the northern extent of the snow is northward so coming into dc by tomorrow concerns too from north south carolina into north carolina saturday morning the snow is coming in new york city. it goes from light blue and snowfall. storm will intensify off the delmarva coastline and pass south and east nantucket saturday night. what it means for us is saturday morning's fine and saturday into the midday early right. areas of snow advancing from south to north saturday evening and there may be some concerns in the outer cape and then notice the farther north you go there's nothing. that is very sharp cut off a

tomorrow afternoon we'll start to see the storm setting up shop in eastern texas, northern parts of louisiana. at that time it will start to pull the moisture. the winds off the gulf of mexico feeding into this primary low. "primary" meaning it is the first low to develop because there will be two. as we get into friday morning, still dry here, some sunshine in the mid-atlantic. moisture spreading in snow with charleston, west virginia and roanoke, virginia. and the primary low falls apart and transfers its energy to the coast where a new low develops along the barrel clinic zone where you have the warm ocean water and it will bomb out. it will rapidly develop off of the carolinas and pull more moisture in off of the atlantic. the storm will be so big, it will spread that moisture all the way to the north. this is 9:00 friday and we start to see the first flakes falling here as we get into philadelphia and points south. so most of friday it is dry, it is friday night. in addition to this, because the storm will wrap up so quickly and intensify, it will throw very strong winds out of the east-

weather threat stretches from eastern texas in towards the panhandle due to the warm, humid air moving over the gulf of mexico clashing with the cold, arc stick area over the front. watch what's going to happen today. hihi pressure will provide for this east breeze. it will be warmer, more humid. still a beautiful day to be outdoors and dry. rain chances increased in our forecast as early as tonight. this front is attached to the low that's going to bring all the snow across parts o tennessee, washington, d.c., you name it, anywhere across the midatlantic they are going to get caught with blizzard conditions. for us this cold front will bring us showers and storms friday night and into saturday morning and watch what happens. saturday we'll wake up to a slight chance of a shower. then that cold air finally filters into south florida. we're going to be feeling like winter. lows will be in the 50s by sunday morning. very important for you to pay attention because it's going to be cold sunday into monday, at least south florida standadas. remember we can't compare to what's going on acros

in eastern texas this shows the strength of the storm already and is causing tornado watches, this isping into moisture from the gulf of mexico when it becomes a northea'easter it wilp into moisture from the atlantic and that is one of the aspects that will produce the snow for the bulk of our viewing area, this is the latest snowfall map, we tweaked it here, we moved that line farther to the south and cut the numbers for the northern lehigh valley to 3 to 6 inches and i want to zoom into atlanta county no i want to talk about the winds first of all. they are a big aspect of the storm, it's not just the snow, the winds are howling on saturday from 5:00 in the morning until 5:00 in the evening, inland we look at wind gusts, 40 to 50 miles per hour with a heavy wet snow that could create a lot of power outages, prepare for that along the coast win gusts, 55 to 65 miles per hour. moderate to major coastal flooding, this is the biggest test for the new jersey and delaware beaches since superstorm sandy. >>> our coverage of the approaching northeaster, governor tom wolf has declared a stat

then all this moisture beginning to gather in eastern texas, that's the storm that will track for sunday, and again some of that rain will come down at a pretty good clip. some parts of new hampshire could get over an inch and a half to two inches out of that weekend. right now we're in the 30's, very close to or slightly above freezing in many spots. but in the coming hours we'll coast back into the upper 20s to very low 30's. that's why you have to watch for very fine light glazing in spots. again, scattered light showers, a break later tomorrow afternoon, into tomorrow evening and then we'll wait on the wet weather that approaches on sunday. some of that could come down at a pretty good clip as winds crank up. the light spotty mix through midday tomorrow, lingering drizzle in southern new hampshire in the afternoon, could be a rain shower tomorrow night and notice that heavy wall of water that moves in for sunday, downpours at times, a long with gusty winds. but look what happens beyond sunday. temperatures head right back to seasonable levels. some gusty winds, temperatures will be r

talk about the some aspects one severe weather threat in place and overnight hours anywhere from eastern texasida panhandle, you do have threat for tornadoes. greatest risk area is southwestern alabama, southern mississippi and big chunk of the state of louisiana. have to get those weather warnings. we do have risk of severe weather into the overnight hours. many people will be asleep and won't have a way to get those warnings. the other concern we're expecting significant icing across the carolinas, parts of kentucky and farther west into portions of southeastern missouri. some of these totals are pretty significant. we're talking about potentially more than half-inch of ice. that will make travel very dangerous, if not almost impossible, areas across the carolinas. stay safe out there. there is another aspect, very strong onshore winds. once the nor'easter develops friday, saturday, into sunday across the mid-atlantic coastline and into new england and looking for threat of coastal flooding and beach erosion. some of the wind could exceed 50 miles an hour, personning water onshore. that in c

we'll have a weak low coming in from eastern parts of texas.s it crosses the deep south it will start to deepen as it moves towards the carolinas. at the same time the current arctic air that's in place will be departing and leaving so we'll have stale cold air its going to be cold but not bitterly cold. as that low moves over the open waters of the atlantic the ocean temperatures are running way above average for this time of year and that can help or harm us depending on where it blossoms if it's close to the coast it explodes and throws a lot of warmth in here to throw the rain line inland. if it explodes just off the coast cold air remains in place and then you're talking about snow for everybody so we've got to wait until this storm actually hits the u.s. before we can really sample it with the models and that comes tomorrow night into wednesday morning. so your seven-day forecast here exclusively windy and cold on tuesday of 29 degrees. and then turning cloudy wednesday and notice the jump up in temperature into the upper 30's. maybe an e

tornadoes possible throughout the day today in the overnight hours in tomorrow morning anywhere from eastern texas risk area highlighted in orange across louisiana, part of mississippi and alabama. not only do you have risk for tornadoes but damaging windows and storm that developed later today. ice is another concern across the carolinas where we could be up to an inch of ice accumulation. we ought to look in across kentucky and into parts of arkansas. it will be a big concern. strong onshore winds from our storm system potentially over 50 miles per hour will be bringing a threat for coastal flooding, beach erosion a number of watches in effect across parts of southern new jersey and delaware. very widespread winter storm warnings and we even have blizzard watches for d.c., baltimore and the new york city area because of the combination is wrong when with the snow that will bring in whiteout conditions. as far as the heaviest snow totals across the mid-atlantic like d.c. and baltimore. they concede two feet of snow, maybe even higher amount. it is going to be a tough forecast for new york city in

collide as they move across the country into the deep south, and develop another storm, in the eastern part of texas, that doesn't happen until 4:00, showing a little bit of precipitation, breaking out from memphis to texas to wichita, then as it moves across theteen valley it spreads the snow to the north and east and transfers to the coast to develop that nor'easter, and this is noon on friday, the band of snow is just to the south and west of washington, and the snow not expected to arrive here, after the kids are home on friday, and sometime in the evening rush on friday. if you look at the four day at 4:00, increasing clouds as a weak piece of energy rolls by and 36 and beautiful, and mostly sunny on thursday and friday and saturday is the days to watch for this nor'easter, as we look at friday afternoon and evening snow breaking out again it looks later in the afternoon at this point. 34 degrees and saturday staying at 34 so we are flirting with freezing here and that means more of a pasty wet snow and even mixing or changing to rain depending on the track somewhere south and east of the phila

next storm is locate across extreme northern portions of texas and extreme eastern portions of a new mexico. it's way out there. but it's going to move quick. our computer model still does indicate tomorrow we'll have sunshine and breeze out of the west. and moving into the gulf of mexico. going to pick up some energy. the upper level winds strong. also, expected to see the low pressure center move right over us during the day on sunday, means we still have pretty good risk of some rotating thunderstorms. so here's how it's going to play out. scattered thundershowersrichs at 5:00 a.m. in gainesville, a chance for shower here. what i'm concerned about is not the squall line itself. this will be at 7:00 a.m. storms like this one that develop out of ahead of the squall line where that can tap into the heat energy located in south florida today. they had the tornado warnings. we would have that sitting over us on sunday morning. so there will be a risk for an isolated tornado. there will be some gusty winds and another bout of heavy rain that should be over by noon on sunday. 76 tomorrow

storms out here with the potential for some tornadoes, and some damaging winds, anywhere from eastern texasced risk, including parts of louisiana, mississippi, and also in alabama. so, again, you could be seeing tornadoes even during the overnight hours tonight. ice, another big concern, especially across the carolinas. they could be seeing up to an inch of ice accumulation. you're also looking at ice accumulation possible across kentucky and arkansas. so dangerous traveling conditions out there over the next couple of days. we're also going to see strong winds with our nor'easter. potentially gusting over 50 miles per hour. and that's along coastal areas of the northeast. some of the worst coastal flooding could be across southern parts of new jersey, also across delaware, so we're also looking at beach erosion a big concern because of how strong those winds will be, and they're going to be pushing that water onshore so we have a number of watches in effect again across delaware, and parts of new jersey. very widespread winter storm warnings, watches, all kinds of advisories, anywhere from
