started in palmer township and ended in easton township. katie zakry was the first reporter on the scene. what can you tell us? >> reporter: first, excuse the slant because we're on a hill. easton, north 13th in spring garden. we got new information from police. they tell me this did begin with a police officer chasing -- traffic stop in palmer township. it made -- that chase made its way to third street in spring garden. the pickup driver crashed in front of a telephone pole in front of a row home. police did fire shots at the driver. he is dead. this is important to note, investigators say until the coroner does his exam, they won't know if the driver died from gunshot wound from police or died from injuries he sustained in the crash. i'm getting new information. in the next bit i'll have more info on a tool state police are using this morning to help them review what happened here. back to you guys. >>> six minutes after 5:00. we're gathering more information on this happening today. vice president joe biden will be in philadelphia for a
