and i give credit to jim baker and, ed meese, for helping to lead way, to bring it to reality without controversy. we can't say that about a lot of other things. the other thing is, i would point out is the way the white house functioned. it was before radio talk shows even had started. it was before the internet. obviously and cell phones were bricks. but white house had very great discipline. know how about how it communicated thanks to people, people in the press corps, in the press office at the white and president reagan was a master at making sure that we understood how the press act, not necessarily what they would say, but how to treat the press. so i credit the press secretaries that were there and and the tension on the white house staff. it's what the best and the brightest are always hired by every president. and we that should always the case. unfortunately, most of the people who are the best and the brightest also their egos deserve to be best and the brightest. and president reagan was wonderful about dealing with all of those egos allowing the best and the brightest t
