joining us tonight is former reagan white house political director, fox business political analyst ed rollins prize winning columnist for the new york post and fox business contributor michael goodwin. thank you for being here. happy new year to you both. ed, your reaction to this media? >> my reaction was the first week i was in the white house with president reagan we welcomed home the hostages who had been held in iran and reagan stood on the steps of the south lawn and said never again will this ever happen. we will never allow our americans to be taken hostage. they were about to be taken hostage again. i think the bottom line is this wasn't an impulsive thing. it was a deliberate plan by the president and his team. they put it together. this guy was on the move. he was out of the country. they had tracked him, and they did the right thing. lou: and to talk about him as being a revered leader of iran. the largest state sponsor of terrorism in the world as if that is some sort of accolade, it's mind boggling to see what is passing for logic on the left. >> it's sort of like terror -- i me
