[applause] >> thank you, debbie, thank you, mayor breed. we're here today at moscone center for a reason. this convention facility showcases san francisco's commitment to environmental stewardship in building design. the moscone expansion project is scheduled for completion of december of this year and is aiming for lead platinum certification. [applause] >> it would be the highest lead certified convention center in the nation. we are adding 792 solar panels to the rooftop of this building. once complete, moscone center will house the largest solar convention rooftop array in san francisco, producing 969 megawatts of electricity a year. when up and running, the solar will generate up to 20% of the energy this building needs. the remaining will be powered by hetchy powe

. >> edgar lopez was also with us and sam dodge from d.p.w. >> thank you. they joined us there last week in which we -- commissioner walker graciously rented a lovely family minivan and we all piled into it and it was news to me that commissioner walker doesn't drive around the city but she did an outstanding drive around the bay area and we were fairly moving around the place. it was very good. we got from a to be very quickly >> you are welcome. >> our destination was to two places. one was in vallejo. and we were met there with the staff who are doing the march of homes and they walked us through the facility and gave us a really good insight on where the building industry is going, and particularly to marginal units. we got from the very start of the line, all the way to the ends. they gave us many hours of their time to explain every aspect we have. we were very impressed with the tour and on that same day, we went from there then over towards stockton where we once to another factory who are also doing marginal homes. they are doing it a little bit di
