edward, i always think about this. he was born in milton, massachusetts, raised in connecticut, went to yale. his father was a bigwig in finance at browners harriman and yet once he graduated, he was gutsy, going into the military serving, being shot down, but then when he went into the private sector, he didn't expect any handouts. he knew that hard work mattered the most. one of his first jobs was as an oil product salesman, an oil tool salesman. he didn't mind kind of starting at the bottom. i think that that speaks volumes about him hitting the ground. >> exactly. you see the work that he put in, even seeing himself almost as a father in chief of the country at that time. you will remember the former soviet union was crumbling during his presidency here. also he was dealing with crushing debt at the time from the reagan administration, which is part of the reason why he negotiated and worked with democrats reaching across the aisle and increase those taxes, maybe cost him the election, maybe cost him a second term, but he did realize that the country, for the betterment of the country, he needed to do these things in order to go fo
