to edward lawrence, who is now breaking this news. edward? reporter: yeah, this is the committee to defend the president. they were told by facebook that they would no longer have ad privileges because they are a repeat offender of misinformation. it starts on august 10th. they are no longer do ads on the platform for 90 days. that puts it right about november 1st, right before the election. a quick search finds that this group has some posts related to joe biden, former vice president, possibly being racist, another post saying he promised his party an african-american vice president and not a hispanic american vice president. both fact checkers said that that was false. in facebook's guide it says if they are repeat offenders of misinformation by a third party fact checker, then this is the consequence you get. so it seems now a tide is turning and there's a little closer scrutiny on the facebook platform of conservative voices going forward here. back to you.

we just had patrick harker, philly fed president, on the show with our own edward lawrence.made a really interesting comment, i thought. ed asked him look, do you think is there a disconnect between the markets and the real economy. he said yeah, there kind of is right now. that's been the most debatable question of the year. are the markets ahead of the economy. tim, what do you say? >> well, they certainly are, but i mean, they almost always are. the markets are -- is the best predictive indicator that we have always had. now, clearly, we have had a fully shaped v, very sharp decrease, very sharp increase in the markets. the economy on the right-hand side of the v is maybe about half to two-thirds of the way through that. clearly, we need to see some more progress on people getting back to work, schools opening back up and clearly, progress on therapeutics or a vaccine for the virus is something that would get us through that next hurdle where it's so important for the economy, with people being much more comfortable with indoor activities, restaurants, bars, sporting even

he wants to be seen as the person doing this when in fact as representative edwards said this is something that could be done comprehensively through simply having congress pass the stimulus package and having him sign it as opposed to doing it through these piece meal executive orders. >> and in terms of any kind of legal challenge, how would that work? the house democrats would try to take him to court if he was dipping into appropriated money and trying to transfer it as he did with the wall? >> well, congress may be the most likely opponent for the president if this were to be a legal challenge but as you suggest there would obviously be political losses in doing so. so then the question becomes, is there some other group that would have standing to challenge this, someone else who might be injured and perhaps it could be the banks, if the rent abatements were to go through or the banks who owned the student loans, those could be likely injured parties that could press this. but a real question could be, what happens if there is no one to step up to challenges? i think that is highly u

i did have the opportunity to speak with government edwards of louisiana this morning. he was his typical self and ready to offer help to texas so he's in good spirits and i know the people of louisiana are dealing with challenges themselves right now and texas stands ready to help our neighbors in louisiana. several state agencies including the texas department of public safety, the texas parks and wildlife as well as the texas military division are scouring every aspect, every zone of the affected areas to provide search and rescue capabilities as needed. we will continue to process until we know for a fact that there is no person and accounted for. as of now, the remains more than 160 power outages throughout the entire texas region affected by hurricane laura. we have almost 8500 people who were provided shelter throughout the state with more than 3000 hotel rooms, sheltering evacuees. sheltering operations are occurring in the county and harris county and those efforts will continue as long as needed. one important. >> , save lives was evacuation orders made by loc
