[applause] >> good afternoon.brate with you latino heritage month in san francisco. welcome! we live in a very unique place. i know the history of our own city has been wonderfully filled with people from the south to move to appear in the 1970's and 1980's. i want to thank all of the consul generals here representing your country and continuing to work with san francisco to make sure that we have good policies to welcome all of our immigrant visitors, families, and the reunification of families. thank you for your great service to our city. i have been privileged to be the mayor of this wonderful, diversite -- diverse city. latino heritage month celebrates all of the contributions of latinos from all different walks of life. from the police department, to the libraries, to the 311 center, to public servants of the board of supervisors, to even retired state senators. it has been a great tradition. this city is recognizing that very much. we often talk about the increase in population. it is very exciting to see t

[applause] mayor lee: thank you.nk you for that wonderful introduction and thank you for being here. it is the seventh annual celebration. sydney already explained our history, what president carter did for us, and what we are doing for ourselves, joining the whole city and region in celebrating asian-pacific portage month. i am so grateful to the board of supervisors for this whole four months of leaving this great city. i will say once again as i have said through many corners of the city, whether it is a town hall meeting or just your regular family association dinner, the hundreds i have been too -- i really feel proud of our asian community as a whole for allowing me to serve this great city and for all the years of struggle and coordinating and push to keep the doors of government open and to keep opportunities for many generations of asians to serve this wonderful city. thank you. i continue to thank the board of supervisors for this historic vote that happened in january. saying that, i want to kick off the c

going on the mayor's agenda, but i think he will have to start getting busy, the honorable mayor edwin m. lee will have to look closer into the candlestick negotiations. that is the part i wanted to bring in, where the accessing of the roadway increases the demographic complications that have been published in media throughout san francisco publications. i myself would like to see such building. i do not want to see our 49ers go away. we have a lot of support from diana feinstein, senator of the united states. she wants to keep them here. we would have to approach the subject matter from demographics, getting in, getting out, increasing the access. the closest analogy i can give to you increasing the roadway has to do with when you wait to go on the golden gate bay bridge. you go around and around. this particular roadway would go around and around and whichever way you want to go, you go. thank you very much. commissioner buell: thank you. >> bruce stone. >> i am president of the san francisco marina harbor association. i just want to let you know we are pleased with the progress on the harb
