[ applause ] >>mayor edwin m. leefor being here and certainly for at & t and for your team. i just want to recognize mark blake man and jason chan and cammy blackstone. i hope, ken, that you have enjoyed all the different hair styles that jason has been having. cammy is going to add to that as well. good morning everybody. this is a great time. another wonderful moment. i know a couple months ago ken and i shared the stage at palace of fine arts when we were inaugurating the celebration of our art history. it's helpful to think of at & t not just today in what they are doing but 100 years ago when they were making that first trans-atlantic hall with linking with our city's history has been wonderful. fast forward, 100 years later, at & t is doing it again. i know the board of supervisors and my office just announced a pretty big budget but a budget that continues to be in the works because whatever revenues the city can do to help our communities, the communities and non-profits that serve directly our communities are

[ applause ] >>mayor edwin m. lee: thank you, eric.y. good morning, everybody. >> good morning. >> it's wonderful to be here iechlt -- i want to thank jay shu for opening this up. he and louis herrera have been great partners, louis is a great public librarian. these two individuals at the civic center had an at some point to work with me at city hall to celebrate what we are about to in the next month, the hundredth year anniversary of our city hall. i want to know, yeah, it would be great to be at the library, at city hall. i would welcome to you this room because jay would be the first to welcome you to say you are the live version of our terra-cotta soldiers this year. i wanted to use this room because of it's beauty as a way to say to indicate my deep level of appreciation for the sponsors, for the employers for the foundations, the community based organizations, our own city agencies and departments are all coming together and collaborating with me about a goal that is very near and dear to me and that is employing our youth. thi

[ applause ] >>mayor edwin m. lee: okay, naomi, that tells me a lot. everybody, thank you. thanks for coming. this is a wonderful time we are here at city hall and of course i was joking when i wished mayor brown a happy 100th birthday. first of all i do want to say officially welcome to the people's palace. this is of course a time when we get a chance to reflect not just the brick and mortar although i must say every time i have a chance to look up and look around i have to marvel at a building that moves in base isolate ors and has become a beautiful beautiful building and everybody i have talked with and stepped foot whether it's the elevators or walking up or the rotunda, their eyes are always looking everywhere and marvelling at this historic building. as i look around today, most of the people are the ones who occupy and come through and make this building come alive. that's you and the thousands that come through this building everyday. i want to say from a very start thank you to mayor brown and charlotte and when we first began talking about
