now ken wayne joins us live with the decision that effren carrillo just announced and reaction. good afternoon, ken. >> reporter: good afternoon, tori. they are still inthere, inside the board of supervisors chambers. effren carrillo heard from the supervisors, including the two women who are supervisors, all four urged him to step down from office. they say the revelations from the trial that he was caught outside of a woman's home in his underwear and that he testified he wanted to have sex with that woman make him unsuitable for office. here is his decision followed by remarks from fellow supervisors. >> those who demand that i give the office to which voters of the fifth district elected me will be disappointed. i have no intentions to resign. [ applause ] >> you've had many opportunities to confront your alcohol abuse and i want to say very publicly your inappropriate behavior with women and -- as a woman, i find these actions reprehensible. >> people who victimize will often find a way to blame the victim and feel sorry for themselves in an attempt to avoid responsibility
