. >> caller: eileen voken, coalition for san francisco neighborhoods, speaking on my own behalf.s hearing seems to make an assumption that wildfires happen somewhere else. that being said, there are parts of the city which are heavily wooded, many of them on the west side, such as stearn grove and golden gate park. when the board held its one and only hearing on wildfire management in the city, the focus was on management of wildfires within areas such as stearn grove. the hearing didn't take into consideration the possibility that these urban wildfires could spread into adjacent neighborhoods. to create a more robust urban wildfire response on the west side, host tenders could be in heat components. while the fire department has a hose tender located at station number 22 on 16th avenue, it is just exploring locating a hose tender at station number 18 on 32nd g.d. avenue.
