all of this was done under the leadership of elaine forbes. who is celebrating her five-year anniversary at the port of san francisco. since 2016, elaine has worked tirelessly to deliver equitable port in waterfront to the public. she has been with the city and county of san francisco for 21 years and with the port for 11 years. almost half of those years as a executive director. in her tenure, elaine increased her maritime business. she negotiated the port through development projects and including projects with 40% affordable housing and one development with 100% affordable for the working and low income residents. we've added new open space to the shoreline, creating more public access to nature and the bay. equally important, elaine has fostered a culture of inclusion, belonging and excellence by leading the port exceptional employees with compassion and innovation. thank you for five great years, elaine. congratulations.
