firefighters from across elbert county are being called to help with a fire burning southeast of agate monday. the fire started around sunset and spread quickly to over two thousand acres. it's east of i-70 - where the interstate turns southward between byers and limon. several small departments are coordinating to stop the fire from different directions. as far as we know, it has not damaged or destroyed any buildings. there are wind turbines in that area. we'll have the latest updates as soon as they're released. an arrest in connection with the clayton fire. 40-year-old damin pashlik is facing 17 counts of arson in connection to the clayton fire and several others in the area. that fire has burned over four- thousand acres and destroyed more than 175 structures. officials say the arson charges he faces will carry additional enhancements due to the destruction of homes and businesses. louisiana state officials surveyed the damage to their state yesterday.. governor john bel edwards toured helicopter. there have been 7 confirmed deaths related to the flooding -- and more than 20- thou
