eli lilly is trying to shorten the time regeneron has a subcutaneous administration of one of its antibodyaches. do you think there's support of the u.s. government in trying to facilitate that? >> i do think they have a big role to play they work. when given to patients early in the disease, they substantially reduce the number of patients who progressed and need hospitalization and die. the reason they haven't been used more widely i think is for two reasons. they were on a very limited set of data and there still is some skepticism around how well the antibodies work. they have to be administered intravenously which means you have to have a covid patient and there's limited use. the data is from a robust phase three trial. there will be enough patients so we get a definitive look at the extent to which our antibody is capable of reducing hospitalization. i think we should overcome that aspect, the limited use. we have a low volume a 500 milligram dose, smaller than the other companies are using. it's in a smaller volume it can be infused more quickly we're working on an i.m., intermuscu

. >> here's some good news, at least on paper, which is that eli lilly just got emergency use authorization understand is, how readily available are these, with regeneron? if somebody is sick today, very sick, and goes to the hospital, do they get the antibody therapy or is it just in short supply? >> alisyn, this is the problem. "a," they're in short supply, but "b" have a very limited use window that's not altogether obvious. given the fact that we've had so many hospitalizations in this country, usually we don't just rush somebody to the hospital and say, if you get bad enough, you'll be hospital already. hospital beds are at a minimum. the problem with that is that these antibodies are most effected before you get to that point of serious illness that prevents you from getting there. so you have this problem where you're not really in the place where you can get these important medications even if you need them and once you get to the place where you can get those medications, it's too late. so there is a problem. that's why a lot of these antibody cocktails have gone on the shelf, even
