elizabeth wenger has traffic. >> thank you, tracy. has been exceptionally quiet morning commute so far at least since 5:00 since we got on the air. there have not been any hot spots and right now i'm not seeing any accidents that healthcare healthcare is working so nice ride up the nimitz freeway. i want to show you a live look at the coliseum north- and southbound great into downtown oakland. there is a little bit of slowing on our sensors from a street towards whipple but nothing unusual. 22 minutes from the altamont pass to the dublin interchange. a camera at tassajara towards dublin, like i said, usual slowdowns. metering lights now at the bay bridge have been on since 6:20. so it's holding steady backed up to the 880 overcrossing. about a 15-minute to 20-minute wait to get on the bridge but not even seeing any slowdowns on the sensors up the incline so so far a nice ride into san francisco. chopper 5 is with us. and they are showing us another life look at westbound 580 traffic. there is the time to leave if you don't want to get

and elizabeth wenger has been looking at alternate route for us. morning on what was supposed to be a very peaceful veterans day. >> it was very, very quiet during our 5:00 hour, 6:00 hour and yeah, this happened just after 7:00. all right, yeah, traffic is stopped. they have essentially closed the upper deck of the bay bridge and as you may have seen from the life report with macrinus, some anne makovec, you see some drivers turning around heading eastbound. if you are heading towards the bay bridge toll plaza, that's where we have seen kind of a lot of cars just looping around. it's hard to tell whether chp is helping them go back eastbound or whether drivers are saying hey, i'm not getting stuck in this and they are taking it upon themselves. here's live look at traffic. if this was going to happen any day, traffic is exceptionally light on veterans day. a lot of schools are off, government office are off. a lot of people will head southbound on 880 towards the san mateo bridge. it's mostly green on the sensors top speeds down the nimitz freeway

let's check in with elizabeth wenger with closures and detours. izabeth. >> hey, good morning, ladies. yeah, the freeways are fine. they are not impacted. 580, 880, everything is good to go but yeah, the accident happened very close to the freeway just west of 580. as anne just said the closure is at the intersection of 106th, blocked off at macarthur boulevard. and investigators it sounds like are going to be out there for at least a little while longer so consider using bancroft or durant in the oakland area as alternates. let's go quickly to chopper 5. live in san jose, we are at the scene of this overturned big rig. still have the traffic alert southbound 101 right there by the 880 interchange where they have three lanes still blocked and they still have not uprighted that big rig. as you can see, it looks like there is a tow crew out there now and several chp and emergency vehicles. they have closed several connector ramps in the area as well, southbound 101 to northbound 880 as well as southbound 880 to southbound 101. unfortunately, traffic
