. >> i'm elizabeth wenger in today for grace lee. time now is 5:00. >>> it is the fifth murder in less than two weeks in san jose. and this latest shooting has now claimed the life of a teenager. >> stephanie chuang in san jose with how police are responding to the continuing uptick in violence there. she joins us with more. stephanie, good morning. >> reporter: good morning. here on the 1700 block of ross circle is where an 18-year-old man was standing with his friends. we just spoke with a witness who said it all happened right here behind me where you see that sidewalk. the 18-year-old man was shot at least once. he died at the santa clara medical center around midnight. reports of the shooting came in just before 9:00. police found the 18-year-old victim with again at least one gunshot wound. this morning just within the hour the crime scene cleaner showed up, washed the blood from the sidewalk and removed the medical gloves, gauze used to treat the victim. this is the latest in a string of recent homicides. there has also been a

i'm elizabeth wenger. grace lee is sleeping in. she gets the day off. time is 5:00. we begin with a shooting at a baby's birthday party over the weekend leaving four people in the hospital. one of the victims is a 9-year-old girl. >> and our unser hudson is in pittsburgh with what we now know about the suspects who are still on the run this morning. good morning, unser. >> reporter: good morning. all is quiet now -- but that was not the case last night. 30 people celebrated the birthday party at the house on ravine street in pittsburg. the shooting happened just after 8:00. two hooded gunman walked up to the house. and fired into the open garage. pittsburgh police say two teenaged boys were shot. one of them was transported to a hospital by helicopter. both of them are in critical condition. the 9-year-old girl was shot in the shoulder. all four victims are expected to survive, police say they haven't had any problems at this house before, and even neighbors say they were shocked to hear about the news. >

. >> i'm elizabeth wenger. grace lee is off. >>> more deadly violence in san jose. within the past hour, san jose police have released details about an officer-involved shooting and some recent high- profile murders there. stephanie chuang reports from police headquarters. >> reporter: san jose police have so much to talk about that they are still in the department answering questions from the media. they have been there for over an hour now. one of the biggest revelations today is we learned that the man who was killed by san jose police officer last week at hillsdale and narvaez is actually the man police suspect killed two former san jose state students just two days earlier on october 8. his name, the suspects, ricardo moreno. the students were 21-year-old eric otokawa and his girlfriend 20-year-old kristina pandula both shot execution-style. it was two days later on october 10 neighbors in the hillsdale area reported a man, moreno, walking with only shorts on carrying a gun. police found him walking near narvaez and felt he threatened them. one officer fired se

let's go straight to elizabeth wenger. >> this is a major artery for the morning commute. this is traffic southbound 101 completely shut down in san francisco just past the 80 split. they have shut down that section of southbound 101 between 80 all the way down towards cesar chavez. so obviously this is going to affect a lot of commuters. that tanker truck at one point fully engulfed in flames. at this point we don't know about injuries but emergency crews are heading to the scene. multiple other vehicles were also involved. so this shut down lanes from westbound 80 and southbound central freeway. we are sending a crew to the scene. in the meantime the bay bridge probably not going to be a good option for right now on the oakland side of the bridge heading towards the toll plaza traffic is light but do want to let you know that if this is out there for a while, it likely will be as a single- alarm fire because that tanker truck was fully engulfed, san mateo bridge would be a good alternate for you as well as 280 because 101 is already backed up. it is affecting northbound
