the elk garden district in mineral county is closed. >> that is because of snow coming down in the areait is more not in the immediate d.c. area at this time. >> in terms of the snowfall itself? >> uh-huh. >> yeah. although it is now starting to keep into washington. those counties you mentioned, significant snowfall out there. they will get a foot or more of snow out there today. here, some snow showers coming through. let's start with hd radar. we'll show that to you. just literally during the last few moments we've started to see the snow creep into washington, d.c. itself primarily the western portions of washington but all of washington will be getting it shortly as the snow showers come through. there is the district. there is the beltway. so it is d.c., northwest d.c., southwest d.c., points out to the west as you are driving out to the beltway, george washington parkway, down to alexandria, 359 and 95 down towards fredericksburg. not much happening in the eastern parts of the city. but as you travel farther out east, you will see a few more snow showers down there. we expect lig
