we have 39 in elkton and 43 in the dc suburbs. you get the idea, although there are cool temperatures not much down around the freezing level. we have calm readings around much of central maryland, a bit of a southwesterly flow around parts of the state. that will bring in more warmer temperatures. we have a disturbance in the southern plains and west. that will move into our region by monday into tuesday. that will bring us a chance of showers and bring warmer air in. the warm air is going to eventually eat away and that low pressure system will eat away at the high that's in control right now. the high is going to ease off. as it does, the warm air comes on in and will get the temperatures close to 80 degrees into the mid week. we will taper off by the end. it will be a nice break heading into tuesday and wednesday. still keeping an eye on richard, which is just moving around honduras and nicaragua. it will eventually reemerge into the gulf of mexico, but potentially as a disturbance and a low pressure system as opposed to a tro

right now, a west/northwest wind coming down. 10 in elkton. we're only at 8 miles an hour.ow pressure that came in with from the western plains. it brought a lot of clouds and moisture. and pretty good shower activity. pretty miserable day. to the north of us now, it's still raining. from buffalo down to cleveland. columbus, ohio, not getting showers. some of the rain is back here in ohio. you can see that flow from east to west. you can see that low pressure sitting off of new york city. and it's pushing that moisture all the way into ohio valley. some of this is going to rotate back. probably a lot more clouds. and a better chance of at least a few more showers with tomorrow and that system rolling through the region. and it will still be on the cooler side. now, by late wednesday night and thursday. that moves out. the west winds begin to dry things out. temperatures start to warm up. and looks like a very nice end of the week. small craft advisory just lifted. southwest winds to 10 to 15 the knos. they may put another advisory out tomorrow. bay temp around 72 now. prett

temperatures ranging across the state from 46 on the low side in cumberland to 58 down in ocean city. 54 in elkton, 51 in pax river and 54 in oakland. in the metro area we have temperatures getting to westminster at 54, 49 in columbia, 55 in dc. 56 in annapolis, 56 in kent island, 54 in bel air, and 59 in rock hall. across the state, temperatures are reflecting a bit of a warm up because of a wind from the west, sought west, you see that flow from dc to hagerstown, that 270 corridor starting to reflect it. we'll see a uniform breeze from that direction as the day progresses. what we will also see is the jet stream bringing in moisture from a storm system out toward the west, that will happen monday into tuesday. we'll start to see more and more clouds thicken as a result. but until then, high pressure is dominating our forecast. we have pleasant conditions in place with mild air, just off to our west, but that mild air will shift to warmer air as more of a flow from the south comes in. as it does, we'll see temperatures in the mid to upper 70s. our average daytime high for this date 70 degrees and
