it says ellis marsalis was a legend. he was a prototype of what we mean when we talk about new orleans jazz. for decades your father performed at a weekly gig at a premier jazz club there until just this past year, and so he meant so much to new orleans, and so i want to -- this virus that took his life is dangerous and deadly as we know. what do you say to people about this? well, in new orleans, for instance, you don't really have to say anything because the streets are completely empty. people are sheltering in place and taking this very seriously, and so it -- i've heard it a lot on television and on radio and on memes, people should take it very seriously. they should wash their hands a lot. they should wear their n95 masks, or any masks, be mindful of large crowds. it's real. it's real. >> it's such a tough time for so many. the coronavirus is just devastating for families and communities all over including there in your city, including your family. what can folks do to try to help stop this and spare other familie
