and janelle burrell is life from elmhurst hospital in queens. >> reporter: good morning to you, mary. police say that the men responsible are still on the run and presumably still armed this morning. responsible for shooting and killing a grandfather and injuring a 13-year-old girl who is recovering here at the hospital. we want to show you images that police released overnight hoping that they'll track down three men they are looking to question in connection with this murder. they were seen in the area of the shooting around the time of the incident. and now investigators say this began with a trio of men breaking into cars around 8:00 tuesday morning. they say when the 53-year-old michael matusiak and his coworker tried to intervene, one of the suspects pulled out a gun and began firing shots. one of those bullets grazing the 13-year-old girl on her way to school. and matusiak's coworker was grazed as well but matusiak was hit in the torso several times and later died. >> it was upsetting, you know, nice guys, he's young. trying to help someone else. >> everyone is shocked right no
