elsie: thank you. catherine: the medal of honor, when it was codified, it was codified as a combat medal. because of that and because we did not allow women in combat, though i mentioned earlier that the history of the metal parallels the history of the united states, women were never in a position where they would likely have been in a situation to do something that would have merited a medal of honor. as of two years ago, we now allow women in combat and i would not be surprised to see women awarded. there have been some silver stars and i would not be surprised to see those upgraded or women awarded the medal of honor. i would point out that many of the noble men who serve in our services tend to have a protective feeling about their female counterparts and for the most part, would not wish that combat on anyone. that is why historically, we restricted women's liberties in an effort to protect them and now they have that opportunity. so it could change. we could see medals of honor awarded to women.
