patrick elwood is there live with more. >> good morning. i'm standing at the entrance to the kankakee state park which is a stone's throw from the warner bridge in that direction down there. as you mentioned the bridge is closed. that's due to the ice jams which is of great concern to people living up and down this river. the headline out here, some people say they haven't seen conditions like this in 30 years. ice so high next to the bridge it could come onto the roads which would be a very bad situation. obviously for a variety of reasons. within the last 12 hours, local officials closed the bridge as a safety precaution. add that on top of the ice that has come from the river to the guards of the homes that populate this area, another element to this wretched winter that we have all had. local residents say some of them say they have never seen anything like it. >> usually we drive over the bridge and the water is far down. but its mind blowing. >> of the ice is so high its average level. if it moves or shifts a could come on to the road
