>> gorda me from the bbc broadcasting house is emily buchanan. just heard a little bit from her. before we get on to the substance of what she was talking about, this is going to be a trip in a sense of some poignancy for her. >> absolutely. an extraordinary story. almost unthinkable to think about what she is been true of the past 24 years. when she went back to visit her ailing mother. she thought it -- she would be there a month, but 24 years before she could come back. she has become a global icon for human rights. she has also had tragedies, missed out on seeing her sons grow up. she is lost a husband. she was not able to come back. she would of been able to come back to see her husband, but she would have to give up everything else she was trying to build. this visit must be really extraordinary for her. >> those personal feelings aside, what do you think is important for her and she makes this first trip to europe? what is she looking for? >> i think she is really looking for outside support. she got the nobel prize. she has become an international figure. how much of that

[inaudible] what can i say to my friends that would convince them or show case that conservatives and republicans really are pro woman? >> i am thinking about young women who invited me to mount holyoke college. i was part of the conservatives coming out week. much scarier to come out of the republican than gay. they approached it as -- the l a students were pretty cool about it. realized they were being in tolerance. liberals don't like to be intolerant. it is one way to tell them they are practicing kind of bigotry and closed mindedness they disapproved of in this of many other people. almost as if they dehumanize you if you are a conservative or completely overlooked you are acumen be in with opinions that may be different from theirs and they have to be more open-minded. i would use that were language. tolerance and inclusiveness. see how it wo
