. >> good afternoon emily rogers from the staff. we're going to present a quick overview of our analysis on the formula for san francisco. as you know early in the summary of 2013 there were 9 pending or active policy that will change the division of retail or the criteria we've ooutsdz used to elevate applications. on july 25th we passed a recommendation that the board of supervisors take a moment to slow down and pause and study the changes that will be made, in fact, even the study issue of formula retail so to that end we've looked at the impacts in san francisco with the benefit of public comments the board selected the economics to do the study and it's funded entirely by the department. we've been talking about the data but before we get into the data i want to make sure we have the same basic understanding of what is formula retail and why we're here. so i guess also there are a presentation but there's nothing you're missing right now it's a picture of jack spade. formula retail is a hot topic. i thought it was the hottest
