(steve) a live look outside at san francisco tonight.eekend is here. meteorologist lawrence karnow is here with what to expect. lawrence karnow: it was another hot day inland today with highs in the 100s. it is looking mostly clear tonight as high pressure sits overhead. if we do see fog it will only be very patchy at the coast. you can see on the satellite picture the big ridge building out of the desert southwest and bringing the hot air back into california. there's even some monsoonal moisture and showers in the southern sierra and desert. that ridge will weaken slightly over the weekend to slowly cool temperatures. it will remain hot in the central valley with highs well over 100 there. there will be 80s in los angeles and san diego. it will be beautiful in lake tahoe too with mostly sunny skies and temperatures in the upper 80s. you can see a few patches of fog trying to form near the coast on our forecast model but it should otherwise remain clear. highs tomorrow will still be in the 90's to low 100s well inland tomorrow, 70s and
